Ryan Fire Growth Slows, Now At 2,500 Acres

Overcast skies and cooler temperatures helped slow the growth of the Ryan Fire on Monday. The fire has now burned 2,500 total acres on the Routt National Forest in Colorado and the Medicine Bow National Forest in Wyoming. Efforts of fire personnel on Monday focused on hunter evacuations within the area closure, securing roadways into the area closure, and scouting for locations where the fire could successfully be engaged.... Sierra Madre Range and Snowy Range, in the Medicine Bow National Forest – Enter Stage 1 Fire Restrictions

Stage 1 fire restrictions went into effect July 5, 2018 on all National Forest System lands within the Sierra Madre Range and Snowy Range, Medicine Bow National Forest, located in Albany and Carbon Counties.
