On June 6th from 10 am to 12 pm, the Albany County Historic Preservation Board is hosting an event at the Lincoln Community Center, open to community members. “Your Home is Historic – Now What?” is a follow-up to an event held last year called “Is your home historic?” Last year’s event was held in cooperation with the Alliance For Historic Wyoming, and was a workshop intended to provide guides and resources for homeowners seeking history of their property.
This year’s event is to provide information to homeowners/property owners who own historic homes on how to list their home on the National Register of Historic Places and to learn about the architectural styles we have here in Albany County. Linda Kiisk, of the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office, will be speaking on Architectural Styles. Brian Beadles, also of the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office, will be speaking on the criteria for listing your home on the National Register. These two individual are both some of the top experts in their fields, and it should be a joy listening to them speak.
Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to at the event (please wear your masks!) and the number of people allowed to enter the event will be limited in order to maintain proper social distancing so get there early.
