Securing health insurance and access to comprehensive health care improves one’s quality of life and sense of mind. Enroll Wyoming stands ready to address health concerns with information and collaboration.
The nonprofit is funded by a federal grant to work with Wyomingites who do not have access to health care. We find them personally tailored solutions.
“Enroll Wyoming Navigators do not make commissions or have sales goals,” Project Director Jason Mincer said. “We are paid through a grant and our sole purpose is to help individuals find the best health care and health insurance solutions for their individual situations.”
Wyoming has recorded some of the highest costs for health care and health insurance in the country, but the addition of health insurance marketplaces and subsidies are providing new and more affordable options. Prices have dropped in the Equality State, and 80 percent of people who work with Enroll Wyoming qualify for plans with a monthly premium of less than $50. Mincer noted that health insurance plans sold in the Marketplace “are the same insurance plans Blue Cross and Mountain Health Co-Op are selling in the private market, but with the subsidies, they are so much more affordable.”
The current open enrollment period for health insurance in 2022 continues until Saturday, Jan. 15. Please remember this deadline, because after this date, most people will have to wait until November to sign up. More than 33,000 consumers in Wyoming have already selected new Marketplace health insurance plans or re-enrolled through healthcare.gov this season.
