Laramie Recreation Center To Close For Maintenance

The Laramie Recreation Center will be closed for our Annual Maintenance and Cleaning August 12-18.  During this time, no regularly scheduled fitness classes or activities will be held in the facility, but the outdoor pool will remain open.  The front desk will also be staffed during regular business hours 8am-5pm Monday through Friday to assist and answer questions.  ... Rocky Mountain Power Schedules Power Outage

Rocky Mountain Power has scheduled and emergency power outage to repair a pole that was damaged by fire.  The outage is scheduled to start approximately 12:30 and will last an estimated 4 hours while the pole is repaired. Crews are working to minimize the size of the outage, however, Rocky Mountain Power Spokesman David Eskelsen says the outage may impact up to 5,300 customers in Laramie mostly in the western part of the city and including Downtown and the University Campus.... Green Waste Collection Sites Closed

All containers at the Green Waste collection sites have been removed and the sites are permanently closed. Cleanup of the sites continues. Curbside pickup of green waste can be arranged by contacting McBrides Yard Waste at 307-399-2028 or www.mcbridesyardwaste.com. Green waste can also be taken to the Laramie Landfill free of charge.... LaBonte Park Odor Control Efforts
