Favorable Weather Conditions Moderate Ryan and Silver Creek Fires

The Ryan and Silver Creek Fires have been managed by a National Incident Management Organization (NIMO) since September 29, 2018. NIMOs are not time-limited and can provide long-term management of incidents, which provides consistency for local communities. Ryan Fire Current Situation: Red flag weather conditions returned to the fire at approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday resulting in increased fire activity on both the north and south side of the fire. Ryan Fire Determined To Be Human Caused, Additional Public Input Sought

The Ryan Fire has been burning in both Colorado and Wyoming since reported on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2018, and subsequently, the U.S. Forest Service has been actively investigating the cause of the fire. Wildland fire investigators have located the origin area of the Ryan Fire, and preliminary investigation indicates that the fire was human-caused and the result of an escaped campfire....
