Senate Rejects Laramie Based Gun Proposals

By: Ken

On Wednesday, Laramie High School students that are part of the March For Our Lives group lobbied for a bill with legislators that would require a 3 day waiting period to buy handguns. Lawmakers ultimately decided overwhelmingly to decline to consider that bill for an upcoming legislative session. The hope from the students was that a 3 day waiting period might deter fellow students from killing themselves impulsively during a moment of despair. The Senate also decided to not consider a bill that would ban the University Of Wyoming from regulating guns on campus
