UW works to combat sexual assault

To help prevent and respond to sexual assaults on campus, UW is going to be creating 4 new jobs. This is all part of it’s No More Campaign and while the positions wont be filled until the Board of Trustees sign off on the 2020 fiscal year budget, money has already been found for the positions.

An internal re-allocation of funding and not through an overall budget increase would provide the funding. A total of $250,000 has been re-allocated for a student athlete well being coordinator, a psychology graduate assistant for trauma and sexual assault prevention laboratory, a diversity specialist and investigator and a sexual assault mental health counselor and trauma specialist. $30,000 is also being allocated by the Division of Student Affairs to establish the Green Dot Sexual Assault Violence Prevention Program
