Law Enforcement Torch Run And Special Olympics WY Summer Games in Laramie

On Thursday night May 9th, the Law Enforcement Torch Run ended here in Laramie and was the kick off to the Special Olympics Wyoming 2019 Summer Games also taking place here in Laramie through Saturday March 11th. Laramie Assistant Police Chief Robert Terry and other local law enforcement ran with the Flame of Hope down Grand Avenue yesterday taking turns carrying it to the opening ceremonies. Competition is taking place at several locations through out Laramie on Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th.

The activities will feature more then 700 athletes and partners, 200 coaches and chaperones along with nearly 200 volunteers. Athletes will be competing in aquatics, basketball, power lifting and more. See a complete schedule of events at this link
