Increase in tourists and the money they spent seen by Albany county

In a report issued by the Wyoming Tourism office, Albany County has seen an increase in tourists over the last year and the time they spend here along with the money they spend here.

In 2018, travelers spent over $171 million which is an increase of nearly $14 million from 2017. This brought in about $36 million in earnings by travel related industries which is a 6 percent increase from the year before, 1610 jobs were also involved.

The average traveler stayed in Albany County for 2 days and lodging, food service along with gas saw increases of 3 1/2 to 4.2 percent in spending by tourists
