At the start of 2019, Albany County’s unemployment rate was 3.5 percent which is one of the lowest in the state. Officials say that is up 1/0th of a percent from January 2018 but there’s no cause for concern. Why? 1/10th of a percent Is not at all statistically meaningful or significant. Around 75 jobs were added in Albany County last year.
