The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the entire Hits 106 listening area through 6am Thursday February 14th.
Winds will quickly strengthen early this morning along the Laramie Range, with strong winds spreading into the valleys
and high plains through Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday night. Winds may become light and variable at times tonight between the strongest wind gusts.
Generally, sustained west to southwest winds 35 to 50 MPH with gusts to 70 MPH are expected. Strong crosswinds will
result in an extreme blowover risk for lightweight and high profile vehicles, including camping and travel trailers. This
includes Interstate 80 from Cheyenne to Rawlins, Interstate 25 from the Colorado border to Douglas, and US Highway 287 from the Colorado border to Muddy Gap.
