UPDATED: Badger Creek Fire

The evacuation order includes Fox Park and Wold Edition Areas.

As of 5:41 pm on June 10th the Albany County Fire Warden has issued a mandatory evacuation order for Fox Park and Wold Edition Areas due to rapidly developing fire conditions.

As of 6:17 WyColo and Mountain Home are under pre-evacuation notice while Fox Park, And the Wold area are under mandatory evacuation orders.

Evacuees can go to Harmony Elementary School for shelter and additional information.

Albany County Emergency Management is coordinating the evacuation and asking the public to stay out of the area.  At is time WYO 230 is open but officials are evaluating if a closure is necessary.

As of 8:49 pm the fire has burned approximately 100 acres and has grown quickly.  The initial size was approximately 25 acres.

Evacuations are in place for Wold Tract, Mountain Home & WyColo Communities with Pre-evacuation notices for Foxpark and Foxborough Communities.

Stables for evacuated horses are being offered by Glen w-Stonehouse Stables at 307-742-7512.

The fire is located off of Forest Road 501, near a network of Off-Highway Vehicle Trails approximately 2.5 miles north of the state line near the headwaters of Badger and Pelton Creeks.

The fire was initially reported late in the afternoon on June 10th.
