In recognition of National Public Safety Telecommunicators’ Week (NPSTW), April 8-14, 2018, the Laramie Police Department, Wyoming communities, government leaders and 9-1-1 communications centers are taking time to honor members of the 9-1-1 community who help save lives in times of crisis.
This week is the annual opportunity to thank 9-1-1 public safety telecommunicators, technicians, trainers, supervisors, managers and other 9-1-1 professionals across the country who protect the lives of the public and first responders every day.
The Police Department, through its LARC Division, provides 9-1-1, emergency dispatch and records services to the first responders, citizens and visitors in Albany County. Last year, the communications center processed an average of 243 phone calls per day. “On behalf of the Laramie Police Department leadership and staff, thank you for your professionalism, dedication, and compassion when people are most in need. We celebrate you, and we support you.” Said Police Chief Dale Stalder.
