The Red Cross training series in Laramie will be starting this Wednesday, March 28th from 6-8 PM in the conference room (208) of the Laramie Civic Center (710 E Garfield Street). Different training sessions will be held over the course of four Wednesday evenings in March and April – all from 6-8 PM at the Laramie Civic Center.
Please see the itinerary and course descriptions below, as well as the attached flyer with relevant information. These courses are free and open to anyone who is interested in the work of the Red Cross.
- March 28th – Disaster Action Team. Learn how you can respond to local disasters and work firsthand with clients to provide basic needs.
- April 4th – Sheltering Fundamentals. Learn how to open, operate, and close a Red Cross shelter in the wake of an emergency or disaster.
- April 18th – Response On Call. Serve as a dispatch for Disaster Action Teams. Time commitment is flexible and you can do it from your home!
- April 25th – Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) Orientation. Learn about ERVs and how ERV drivers assist communities following an emergency or disaster.
