Laramie Man Arrested for 4th Driving Under the Influence

On November 8, 2017 at 4:28p.m. a Laramie Police Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 300 block of South McCue St.

As a result of the officer’s observations and roadside investigation Richard Keith Brown, a 54-year-old Laramie resident, was arrested and charged with 4th offense Driving While Under the Influence.  He was also cited for Driving Without an Interlock Device.  Mr. Brown’s bond was set at $2,500.00 and he remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

 A fourth offense Driving While Under the Influence within a ten (10) year period is a felony punishable by a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars ($ 10,000.00), imprisonment for not more than seven (7) years, or both.

A first offense of Driving Without an Interlock Device is punishable by imprisoned for not less than seven (7) days nor more than six (6) months, and a fine of not less than two hundred dollars ($ 200.00) nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($ 750.00);
