Make-A-Wish Wyoming and local businesses granted the wish of 8-year-old Teagan this past weekend at her home in Cheyenne.  Teagan, who has leukemia, wished for a tree-house. So on September 30 Teagan had her wish become a reality.

The first phase of the tree-house construction was completed on September 9, 2017 at Capital Lumber in Cheyenne. Wish granters at Make-A-Wish® Wyoming teamed up with members of the Cheyenne community to complete the tree-house wish this past Saturday with a final day of construction to add the finishing touches.

Teagan waited patiently inside for the big surprise and emerged from the home wearing a hot pink blind fold for the tree-house wish reveal. When the blind fold was removed she stood before her brand new red tree-house amongst all of her friends and family. Following the grand reveal volunteers, family, and Make-A-Wish Wyoming staff members gathered to celebrate the completion of the tree-house in the family’s backyard.

Teagan’s wish was made possible with the help of Cheyenne businesses and volunteers. Make-A-Wish Wyoming would like to thank the generosity of local businesses: Mechanical Systems Inc., Frauendienst Quality Homes, Elevation Structural Design Inc., Knife River, Capital Lumber, Southeast Wyoming Builder’s Association, Wyoming Young Contractor’s Association, Realtor Family Fund, Sherwin Williams, Steil Surveying Services LLC, CH Yarber Construction, Miller Insulation, Gregg Construction and countless others.
