On June 14, 2017 a Laramie Police Officer took a report of counterfeit bills being passed at a business in the 400 block of Boswell.  Two additional businesses reported receiving counterfeit bills over the next several days.

The incidents were investigated by Laramie Police Officers with the cooperation and assistance of the Secret Service.  As a result of that investigation 53-year-old Bill F. Blanchard was arrested on June 19, 2017 for Forgery (WS 6-3-602b).  Blanchard’s bond has not been set and he remains incarcerated at the Albany County Detention Center.

Forgery is a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than ten (10) years, a fine of not more than ten thousand dollars ($ 10,000.00), or both.
