June 3, University of Wyoming golfer John Murdock won the 2017 Wyoming State Match Play Championship in Hulett, Wyoming. The three-day match play format ended on the 18th hole of the championship round where John made par to win 1up over fellow UW teammate Glenn Workman. It was a good tournament for UW golf as Quintin Pope defeated incoming freshman Jared Edeen to take 3rd place. There was some great golf played by all in a strong field that was held at The Golf Club At Devils Tower.
