LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) —Wyoming 130 over the Snowy Range Pass opened to traffic yesterday afternoon. WYDOT spent several weeks clearing the pass that crosses the Medicine Bow Mountain Range in southern Wyoming.
Work on the bypass suffered a slight setback after last week’s spring snowstorm. Department Public Relations Specialist Matt Murphy says only 6 inches on snow piled on the pass, which allowed the crews to stay ahead of their Memorial Day target date.
The bypass typically closes in November.
