Wyoming OB Named Mountain West Offensive Player of Week

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming sophomore quarterback Josh Allen has been named the Mountain West Conference offensive player of the week.

Allen led the Cowboys to a 40-34 triple overtime win against Northern Illinois last Saturday.

Allen scored the winning touchdown on a 7-yard scramble in the third overtime to give Wyoming the home victory over NIU.

Against the Huskies, Allen completed 19 of 29 passes for 245 yards, two TDs and no interceptions. He also had 10 rushing attempts for 70 yards.

The sophomore accounted for 315 yards in total offense, while leading the Pokes to 488 yards of total offense.
