Cowboy Draw Winner Celebrates Dog Gone Big Win

May 26, 2016 – Can you say another Wyoming winner? We can. On May 22, Shirley Caro stopped by the Sinclair in Kaycee, Wyo. to purchase an ice cream and catch up with the owner and his family. Just like every week since the game launched, she also purchased her Cowboy DrawTM tickets with hopes of hitting the jackpot. Shirley has been a loyal player of all WyoLottoTM games and, aside from a $20 win, she said this is her biggest so far.

With her dog Sophie by her side at her home in Kaycee, Shirley checked her winning ticket online after the draw on Monday, May 23 and couldn’t believe it when she matched all 5 numbers to become the ninth Cowboy Draw jackpot winner and the second in the last month. The total amount of the jackpot was $406,928 and after 25 percent federal taxes were taken out, Shirley walked away with $305,196.

Shirley was presented with the winner’s check at WyoLotto headquarters in Cheyenne on May 26. Although the jackpot win hasn’t quite settled in yet, she plans to use the winnings to paying bills including medical bills Shirley’s advice to other WyoLotto players, “Don’t give up!”

The winning numbers for Monday’s Cowboy Draw drawing were 12, 30, 31, 32, and 41.
