Closures continue for the Interstate 80 corridor in Wyoming due to high winds, blowing snow, and significantly reduced visibility this morning.
The drifting snow and ice on the roadways require Highway Patrol Troopers in the Arlington/Elk Mountain area to assist the remaining motorists. The Troopers are working in sustained winds of 40-45 mph and gusts of 60+mph.
Wyoming Department of Transportation officials expect to reopen the road if the winds decrease this afternoon as forecast.
