WYO 130 over the Snowy Range Between Laramie and Saratoga is open for the season.
All focus for WYDOT crews now moves west to WYO 70 (Battle Pass) which remains impassable. There is no set opening date for WYO 70 at this time.
Travelers are advised that current high country conditions are wet with cold nights. Motorcyclists and bikers should watch for patches of frozen run-off before the morning sun dries the road surface. All travelers and hikers should be prepared for possible closures due to winter-like weather on both roadways even after they open.
For current conditions on the roadways, please phone 511 or visit http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/conditions/dist1.html
Both WYO 130 over the range and WYO 70 over Battle Pass close annually in late autumn when relatively low traffic and deep snow accumulations render plowing operations impractical.
Thank you. Have a Happy Summer when it gets here!
