2013 Has Been A Record Breaking Year For The Broncos

Denver Broncos2013 has been a record breaking year for Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos on many levels.

First let’s take a look at points.  The Broncos scored 606 points in 2013, breaking the record of 589 set back in 2007 by the New England Patriots.

Next up: Touchdowns.  Denver scored 76 touchdowns beating another record set by the 2007 Patriots of 75.

Players with 10 or more touchdowns another record shattered in 2013.  Demaryius Thomas has 14 touchdowns, Eric Decker with 11, Wes Welker with 10 and Julius Thomas with 12.  On top of that Knowshon Moreno added 13 to help the Broncos shatter this record by two players.  The previous record was three players.

The Broncos converted 293 first downs in 2013 beating the previous record of 280 set in 2011 by the Saints.

Three games in 2013 for the Broncos saw more than 50 points tying the NFL record from 1969.

In 2013 the Denver Broncos scored 318 points after halftime beating a record they had previously set in 2012 of 299.  Before that the record was held by the Rams from 1950.
